How Does It Work?

You determine what the prize will be and the value thereof, what you want to achieve from the audience it will be seen by, and the duration of the competition (at least one month is advisable). You supply your graphics, and Liz markets the competition as follows…

● An email to a database of over 5,000 South African consumers

● On this website
● On the Lucky Liz social media channels - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
● If your business is in hospitality, food, beverage, health or wellness, Liz can offer you exposure to an additional 4,000+ fans, followers and subscribers through her foodie account, Foodevotion (this will be at no additional cost for a limited time)

It’s recommended that you also market the competition through your own mailing list and social media channels so that your fans and followers can share it with their friends and family. Those interested in entering will then SMS the required details to a unique competition number. Once the competition closes, Liz uses a random number generator to pick the winner and notifies that lucky person, you then get their prize to them, and you receive a spreadsheet with all your new leads!

What’s In It For You?

There are a number of options available in terms of receiving the entrants’ details, depending on what you want to achieve – some examples are…

Get Website Traffic

If you want to direct traffic to your website, then the SMS entry will be based on answering a question that can be found on one of your website pages.

Get Newsletter Subscribers

To grow your email database, the SMS entry will require the entrants to submit their email address, which you can add to your mailing list.

Get Facebook Page Likes or Twitter or Instagram Followers

If this is your aim, then the SMS entry will be either their Facebook name or their Twitter or Instagram handle, which will also confirm that the chosen winner has complied and is eligible for the prize.

Get Direct Sales Call Leads

For this option, the SMS entry would require that the entrants agree to getting a sales call from your company, and they therefore will be asked to provide their name and contact number. Another option along similar lines is to ask them to refer a friend, and provide that person’s name and contact number. You could even provide both options in one competition, giving entrants more than one chance to win.

If you’d like your competition to be featured on this site’s home page and pinned to the top of the Lucky Liz social media channels, this comes at an additional cost of R190 per week. This is also a limited time introductory fee and is based on a first-come-first-served basis of availability.

The cost of the prize you offer will be for your account, and dispatching it to the winner will be handled by you.
