1. To qualify as potential winners, participants:

      ● must SMS the correct keyword per individual competition, plus any other information required

         per competition, to the short code 33903, during the competition period.  Text messages are charged at

         R1.50 per SMS. Free and bundled SMS’s do not apply;

 

      ● must reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid South African identity document.

2. The competitions are open to subscribers from Vodacom, MTN, Cell C and Virgin Mobile.

3. The prize winners will be randomly selected after the end date of each competition from a list of entrants who meet all the requirements. The winners will be announced within one week after the end date.

 

4. The winners’ names will be displayed on the Competitions page of this website.

​

5. There are no additional charges for participating in the competitions, other than the competition SMS rates.

​

6. Lucky Liz will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners telephonically between 8h00 in the morning and 17h00 in the afternoon on the contact details used by the participants to participate in the competitions prior to the announcement of the winners.

 

7. Should a participant not be available on the contact number provided during the timeframe  stipulated above or rejects, forfeits or declines acceptance of the prize, that person's right to the prize will be deemed to have been waived and the prize will be forfeited. Lucky Liz reserves the  right to then award the prize to the next randomly drawn participant.

 

8. The winners must be able to identify themselves in a manner determined by Lucky Liz as  the entrants of the competitions and have to comply with the required validation procedure in  order to claim the prize.

9. Any participant under the age of 18 shall present their parent / guardian’s written consent to enter the competition, at Lucky Liz's request.

 

10. The duration of the competitions may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Lucky Liz.

11. The prizes are not transferrable or exchangeable.

 

12. Lucky Liz shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the winners in claiming the prizes.

 

13. All risks and ownership of the prizes shall pass to the winners on transfer/delivery thereof and

hence all of Lucky Liz's obligations in regard to the competitions as well as in regard to the prizes

shall terminate.

 

14. In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the competitions and/or the Terms and Conditions, Lucky Liz's decision will be final and binding and no correspondence may be entered into.

15. Lucky Liz may refuse to award the prizes if entry procedures or these Terms and Conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. Lucky Liz is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify them that they are rejected. 

 

16. Lucky Liz will not be liable for any technical failures affecting participation and/or prize redemption process of the competitions.

 

17. Lucky Liz assumes no liability whatsoever for any entries that have been omitted from participation in the competitions for any reason whatsoever.

 

18. Neither Lucky Liz nor any other person or party associated with the competitions, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the competitions, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the competitions or from claiming the prizes. 

 

19. Lucky Liz reserves the right to terminate or cancel any competition immediately and without notice in the event that the competition is held to be or becomes unlawful. In such event all participants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Lucky Liz and acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against Lucky Liz.

 

20. All information relating to the competitions and published on any promotional material will form part of these Terms and Conditions.
